GMSD to vote on contract to purchase land on the Broer-Schaeffer Property
Germantown Municipal School board to vote on a contract to purchase real estate at Forest Hill and Poplar Pike location on April 5th. 
GMSD wins big at the Perennial Math Competition
Out of a total of 50 winning individuals/teams placing in the top three positions, GMSD schools garnered a little over half of them! 28 of our students and teams earned big prizes--which you can see for yourself here in the published list of winners.  
HMS College and Career EXPO seeking volunteer presenters
Currently seeking volunteers who would like to share information about their jobs with our amazing students. 
HMS student a finalist in NASA sponsored contest--wins the school a 3D printer
Saksham Saksena, a current 8th grader at Houston Middle School, was recently selected as one of four finalists for the MARS Medical challenge sponsored by NASA.

Celebrate National Ag Day at the Farm Park
Germantown’s Bobby Lanier Farm Park will host Ag Day at the Farm on March 25. The theme for this year’s National National Ag Day, which is celebrated in classrooms and communities across the country, is “Agriculture: Food for Life.”

It's time again to encourage your superstar teacher (or colleague) to apply for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.  Deadline: May 1st.
Riverdale's PTSA goes above and beyond for Teacher Appreciation Week
Riverdale PTSA did something totally unexpected this year for Teacher Appreciation Week. 
HMS partners with a local organization to give back in Memphis
Michael Ruiz, Assistant Principal at Houston Middle School, started a partnership 3 years ago with a local organization that has affected hundreds of children in Memphis.  
Two GMSD schools chosen as STEM showcase locations for the state
Germantown Municipal Schools is proud to host the Tennessee STEM Innovation Network (TSIN) for an open house at both Houston High School and Houston Middle School on March 23. Houston High and Middle are two of ten schools across the state that will be showcasing the effective ways they are integrating STEM into their learning.
