Students in grades 9-12 and HHS graduates can use Naviance to research colleges and careers, build a college list, create a resume, and learn about their strengths and interests by taking the Strengths Finder, Career Cluster Finder, and Career Interest Profiler. Students can also explore different pathways, interests, and careers using Roadtrip Nation.
Juniors and seniors will use Naviance to sign up to meet with college admissions officers who regularly visit HHS. And, seniors will use Naviance to send transcripts to colleges, requests letters of recommendation from teachers, and learn about available scholarships.
Seniors can access scholarship information in Naviance by clicking Colleges---Scholarships and Money---Scholarship List. Other websites that you may consider looking into include but are not limited to fastweb.com, goingmerry.com, bigfuture.collegeboard.org.
College Rep Visits:
Admissions Officers from colleges and universities across the country visit HHS on a regular basis. Juniors and seniors are invited and encouraged to attend if they are interested. Students must get permission from their teacher and are responsible for any missed work. Students will sign up for these visits in Naviance. Parents can see the colleges that are visiting by looking at the calendar on the right side of the HHS website
College Visit Days:
All students can take up to four days to visit postsecondary institutions. These visits do not count against exam exemptions, students are considered present. The policy can be found here.
