Parents, make your donations to help stop Heart Disease by donating to the American Heart Association.  Students receive keychain fantasy animals for your donations.  Students also receive numerous rewards for benevolent giving to the AHA.  The culminating event is Friday, February 15, during their MAPS time.  Thank you for caring about this great cause!

Two elementary students recognized by TN Secretary of State Tre Hargett in annual Civics Essay Contest

NASHVILLE, Tennessee--January 4, 2018--Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett on Wednesday recognized elementary, middle and high school students from across the state for writing outstanding essays on leadership and civic engagement.  Two students from Germantown Municipal School District were among twenty-two took top honors in the essay category. Grandparents invade the district: Bingo at Dogwood, Breakfast for Grandparents at Riverdale, and Games with Grandparents at Farmington Elementary School

Germantown, Tennessee--September 12, 2018--“Grandparents are important,” said Dogwood Bingo with Grandparents Night organizer Diane Perry.  “It’s wonderful to see different age groups coming together,” she said.  Hosting a bingo night was something that Dogwood wanted to do this year, and Perry brought the idea to fruition.  The sign-ups for the bingo night were very popular and the evening was a huge hit for all ages.  With a few celebrity Dolphin bingo callers, some pizza and great family, students and their grandparents competed for candy prizes for an hour last Friday evening.

Dogwood Cross Country Team zooms into the fall season with two first place team wins

Germantown, Tennessee--September 10, 2018--The Dogwood Cross Country team participates in many races throughout the season.  They practice three times a week and participates in fun team building activities like cross country camp in the preseason, movie nights, and team dinners and outings. The team is participating in Memphis Youth Athletic league where they run in five to six one-mile races against other elementary schools at Shelby Farms during September and October.   More +

Welcome Home Dogwood Families! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer and enjoyed the time off. We have been extremely busy this summer with new furniture for the library, paint in the cafeteria and hiring new teachers. We also attended professional development in Las Vegas, Chicago and Boston. Even our teachers go to school! continue
