Bus Transportation Alerts

THE FOLLOWING EMAIL WAS SENT TO GMSD PARENTS

GERMANTOWN, TN--AUGUST 8th--We appreciate your patience with bus transportation matters as our team works hard to assist Durham in these first few weeks. Your feedback is vital in helping us. Please reach out to our transportation team IMMEDIATELY with the following information:

Late or early pickups/drop-offs
Buses that do not arrive at scheduled stops

In your communication, please note the bus number and your child’s school. Our offices do not open as early as many of the buses are scheduled to run—so in an emergency, you may call Durham directly at 901-861-0256.

Most of our transportation team, however, will see and receive email prior to arriving or while at work and this may be the most effective mode of reaching us quickly.

To increase efficiency and firm up communications at each school level, our department has assembled a “transportation team”. Please send bus related questions, concerns, and reports to your school-level transportation team member:

Dogwood Elementary-Joli Williams, 901-756-2310, [email protected]

Farmington Elementary- Ashley Brasfield, 901-756-2320, [email protected]

Riverdale Elementary- Pam White, 901-756-2300, [email protected]

Houston Middle School- Michael Ruiz, 901-756-2366, [email protected]

Houston High School- Rob LeGault, 901-756-2370, [email protected]

If your school level administration is unable to assist you, you will be directed to Chief of Operations Josh Cathey.

When bus numbers are finalized and entered into our system, we can utilize our notification system to let parents of specific buses know if a bus is potentially running late. Before this information is entered, we will be sending these types of notifications to every parent at the specified school. Please be patient with this method for the first two weeks of school.
