Any 11th or 12th grade student who wishes to drive to school this year will have the opportunity to purchase a parking pass. If we determine there is enough parking availability after the first two weeks of school, we will open up the purchase of parking passes to 10th graders.
However, if at any point we are able to bring all students back to school safely this year, we would only be able to accommodate 11th and 12th grade students parking on campus. In the event that all students return, any 10th grade student who purchased a parking pass would receive a full refund.
The new school year also marks the first year that Houston High School will no longer have a ranking system in place for any grade level. Beginning this year, every student at HHS will be on the laude system. With this change in mind, we will no longer be selling Top 75 spots to seniors. All parking for the 2020-2021 school year will be first come, first serve. Students will be able to park in the main student lot behind the visitor stands, the student lot behind the A building/home stands, and the parking spaces in the park area behind the baseball field. The park area now is GMSD property, so all HHS rules will apply when students use this area.
All parking passes will be $45 this year and will be available for purchase on MySchoolBucks.com
starting 7/23. If you do not have a MySchoolBucks account, you will need to create one in order to purchase a parking pass. Parking passes will be distributed to students during the first week of school. If you have any questions, please email Paul Ross
