Germantown, Tennessee—September 15, 2019— Coach Thomas and Houston Football Team are back. The Mustangs are looking for another successful season after winning the region last year. They are wanting to accomplish what they did last season plus more. They are being led by their captains; Lincoln Pare, Nathan Havrda, Jerron Watson, and Hank Pearson. On the offense side, players like Lincoln Pare, Ethan Burns, and Grayson Hitt, who is committed to University of Alabama for baseball, are looking to lead the charge. Deion Harris, Hank Pearson, and Cade Young are looking to become an unmovable force on defense.

The season schedule is below:

Coach Thomas said that this year is different because, “This year’s team knows exactly what to expect from our staff. They’ve been in our system for a year and that knowledge of how we operate on and off the field is what will help them in the end”.

Perhaps most exciting is the anticipation of the field house that broke ground over the summer. Coach Thomas and the team are really looking towards the new field house. Thomas refers to it as a “gamechanger”. The field house will be ready for next year's season, but the community can watch the live feed of the build here: https://oxblue.com/open/HoustonHigh/HoustonHighFieldhouse. Coach Thomas added that he commends GMSD, the City of Germantown, Mike Bruns, and the H Club for making this project a reality.
