Germantown, Tennessee—August 20, 2019—Dogwood PE classes started the new year off by playing a fun game called "Poison Hoops". This game teaches important lessons about respecting personal space and staying in control of their bodies. These skills allow students to play and learn safely all year. The teachers, Dana Guntharp and Angela Martin, allowed students to choose jobs in the game including being a rescuer medic to help anyone who was bumped out of bounds. Mrs. Guntharp told us that,“Every year we play this game at the beginning, so we can review what it means to be in your personal space and to review how we share general space with others”.
