Percoski secures big victory in the Big Crunch Top Chef Competition

Germantown, Tennessee—October 24, 2019—This year's Apple Crunch Day took place on October 23rd.  Celebrated nationwide, students compete with other states to see who can get the most “crunches” per capita. 

“The Forest Hill Foxes might be the first participants in Tennessee and therefore the winners,” said Aramark Manager Kristin Watkins.  She has organized the event this year along with Jones Orchards who donated enough apples for each student.
In addition to every student in the school participating in a countdown to the Big Crunch Off, Watkins also challenged Principal Zac Percoski to a Top-Chef style cooking showdown.  The entire student body watched in delight as each contestant created their best dish from apples.

Though Watkins made a delicious Apple Quinoa Salad, Percoski’s creativity with his Apple Crunchies and Pumpkin Whip secured the victory.  The winner’s recipe will be featured on the Aramark lunch menu next month.
