Germantown Education Foundation executive director Robyn Rudisill takes the helm of growing nonprofit

Germantown, Tennessee--January 31, 2020--The Germantown Education Foundation (GEF) announced Robyn Rudisill as the executive director of the nonprofit devoted to supporting the Germantown Municipal schools.

Rudisill, a former teacher in the Shelby County and Germantown Municipal Schools districts, is an active member of the Germantown community. She has served in a variety of positions for the Germantown Charity Horse Show, including Ball Chair, Ticket Sales Chair, Box Seat Chair, and Princess Chair, often all at the same time. She is a Past Chairman of the Germantown Education Commission and Past President of the West Tennessee Association for the Gifted (WTAG).

“Obtaining a job in which I can use my gifts and talents to raise money to support teachers and students is a dream come true to me,” Rudisill said, “I’m really excited about this next step for the foundation and I can’t wait to see where we can go.”

Rudisill’s hiring comes as the foundation implements a plan of strategic growth in grant programs, development and outreach. “We found that Robyn brings passion, determination, and commitment; not to mention a strategy for growth to the table,” said search committee chairman Jason Gillum. “Robyn shares the vision we have as a Board to really grow our foundation.”

“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the Germantown Education Foundation. The Foundation is poised to really develop its vision and I look forward to being a part of the effort to bring the foundation to the next level, making a positive difference for Germantown students,” Rudisill said.

Rudisill is a recipient of the 2016 PTA Lifetime Achievement Award given by the Germantown PTA Board, a 2016 Star Teacher Recipient awarded by the Germantown Municipal School District, and a member of the 2017 Leadership Germantown class where she was voted by her peers as the Jim Roberts Award recipient.
