Houston High invites students at feeder schools to join in the Friday Night Football Fun with a FAMILY night August 25th

One of GMSD’s primary goals is to, not only successfully educate our students, but also involve them in a fun, caring community. As a part of this mission, on August 25th at 7pm, the HHS Athletic Department has planned a GMSD Family Football Night.

In the first home game of the season, Houston High will be taking on the Germantown Red Devils, and there will be a variety of activities to include and entertain the entire family.

Students can meet the new-and-improved Marvin the Mustang, who will be available for pictures and autographs, or explore the supervised Kid’s Zone, complete with an inflatable obstacle course.

Parents have the opportunity to enter the GMSD Family Selfie Contest by posting their favorite family pic, tagging @YouAreHouston on Instagram, and using hashtag #gmsdfamily. By entering, you will have the chance to win a free Pyro’s pizza and a special feature on the Jumbotron at Friday’s game.

Delicious concessions will also be available, and our nationally regarded cheer team, pom squad, and marching band will perform too.

The mayor of Germantown will even be in attendance to serve as this week's honorary captain.

“We are excited for an event like this because it shows we all are here to support each other, and it really bonds our community.” said Athletic Director Chad Becker of the upcoming evening.

Be sure to clear your calendars this August 25th and make your way at 7:00 to the HHS Landers Ford Stadium to support our Mustangs. We encourage all GMSD families to come out and enjoy what is sure to be an incredibly fun night for everyone. Let’s go Mustangs!
