Donuts with Dad is successful for both students and their sweet tooth

Our dedicated parents and their valued support play such a vital role in our students’ lives and our schools, and, because of this, we try to involve them as frequently as we can. Recently, Riverdale Elementary School included parents with their special Donuts with Dad event.

Donuts with Dad is an annual tradition at Riverdale where students are encouraged to invite their dads, or another father-figure, for a morning of fun and food.

Over Gibson’s donuts, students and parents were able to enjoy the new, state-of-the-art Multipurpose room and the rest of the fantastic campus.

Over 550 families and fathers were in attendance, with some grandfathers even joining in on the fun too.

This event continues in the Riverdale series that aims to actively include parents with various events like Muffins with Mom and Grandparents’ Breakfast, and we are so thrilled that they are finding such success.

“It was such a great opportunity for our students’ families to get into the school and see all of the great things going on at Riverdale.” said Dr. Stacy Stevens of the morning.

We are so pleased that these students could enjoy such a wonderful morning sharing their school with some of the people who do so much to help them succeed there. What a fantastic time for student and parent alike.
