Germantown, Tennessee--December 10, 2018--The HMS band had a unique opportunity this past Wednesday to play National Anthem at a Grizzlies game. Spencer Nesvick is the director of the HMS band program and was overjoyed when this opportunity was offered to him and his students. The band honored individual players by wearing their numbers on their shirts. Mr. Nesvick honored his favorite player, Jaren Jackson #13. Prior to the start of the game, students had the opportunity to meet Marcus Tucker. (Mr. Tucker is known as The Voice of the Grizzlies.) Eighth grader, McKenly Carodine, a trumpet player, stated: “Being able to perform at the stadium was pretty cool”. Following this experience, the HMS band was again offered a spectacular opportunity, to play for the Salvation Army outside of the Kroger on Farmington in addition to ringing the bell.
