TCAT Signing day honors two HHS students, Connor Wiygul and Joshua McKessy

Germantown, Tennessee--February 15, 2019--Two seniors from Houston High School attended TCAT Memphis for their National CTE Letter of Intent Signing Day today.  They signed, had lunch, and toured the programs meeting with current students and instructors.  The two students who were honored with a signing day were Connor Wiygul, and Joshua McKessy.

TCAT Memphis offers 23 different technical education programs and the cost is covered under the Tennessee Promise Scholarship.

The signing event mirrors NCAA’s National Signing Day for students who commit to play sports in college. The National CTE Letter of Intent Signing Day is designed to honor students on completing their high school preparation, emphasizing the student’s commitment to continuing their technical training with TCAT, and affirming TCAT’s staff/faculty’s dedication to supporting the student’s success on campus.

Over sixty technical institutions nationwide will be hosting their own signing day ceremonies, all tied together by live simulcasts.
