HHS student explores "The Beauty of the Boundary Waters" in special art exhibition in attempt to raise awareness for cause

Germantown, Tennessee--February 8, 2019--On February 28, join Houston High School student Matthew Grosman for an evening of fine art.  For his Senior Capstone Project for the HHS Honors Academy, he will be putting on an art exhibition at the school.  Open to the public on February 28, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., he explores the natural beauty of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area through several works.  The natural beauty of the locale is currently threatened due to sulfide-ore copper mining.

“I have personally camped all over the North Woods, but the BWCA holds a special spot in my heart.  I wish to protect it with everything I have, and the first step is raising awareness,” said Grossman in his artist’s statement.  Help him raise awareness by attending "The Beauty of the Boundary Waters" on February 28th.
