HHS's Beautifully Unique Club warms hearts at Youth Villages' Soup Sunday at the Fed Ex Forum

Germantown, Tennessee--February 25, 2018--Members of the Houston High School’s Beautifully Unique Club volunteered at Youth Villages’ 29th Annual Soup Sunday that was held at the FedEx Forum.  Beautifully Unique is a club of young people at Houston High School with the mission “to provide young female students (grades 9-12) with the opportunity to create positive change within the school and community while also fostering an environment of support and sisterhood among each other.”

An annual event now in its 29th year, Youth Villages Soup Sunday gives the people of the Mid-South a chance to sample delicious soup, bread, dessert and other delicacies from more than 50 of the best area restaurants and caterers while supporting Youth Villages' programs to help troubled children and their families.

Over the last quarter century, this event has become one of the most recognizable attractions in the Memphis community. With the support of the committee, volunteers, staff, and patrons, Soup Sunday events have raised nearly $1 million for the various programs Youth Villages offers.

Students served as runners and servers for various restaurant vendors as well as worked with the children in the Kid’s Zone. We are so happy that these students participated in this fantastic community event.
