February 5th, 2018—Germantown, Tennessee—
The Houston High School Athletics and Arts Foundation, which was born out of the successful $1.2 million football stadium and turf renovation in 2014, is looking forward to some changes in 2018. The Foundation has to desire to engage a broader segment of the community and is ready to grow.
In addition to engaging new stakeholders, the structure of the board will allow for more voting members that are able to either gift or collect a prescribed amount of funding on an annual basis. The foundation plans to maintain an advisory committee that will consist of teaching staff, school district administration, and other community experts. The board will be restructured using a philanthropic model that will employ strategic community partnerships.
The HHAAF board will be supporting the hiring of an architect firm to create a cohesive master plan for the fine arts and athletics facilities at Houston High School.
