The Commercial Appeal names Germantown Municipal School District a winner of the Memphis Top Workplaces 2019 Award
Germantown, Tennessee--December 18, 2019--Germantown Municipal School District has been recognized as a “Top Workplace” by The Commercial Appeal. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.
“The Top Workplaces award is about much more than recognition and celebration,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage. “Our research also shows that these organizations achieve higher referral rates, lower employee turnover, and double the employee engagement levels. It just goes to show that being intentional about culture delivers bottom-line results.”
Germantown Municipal School District is proud to have been selected as a Top Workplace for the fifth consecutive year in a row. “It’s incredible to be named among Memphis’ top area employers, but what is more special is that our employees feel valued and had such positive responses on the Energage survey this year,” said Superintendent Jason Manuel. In an article in the Commercial Appeal, one GMSD employee wrote, “The superintendent is a servant leader and I have great admiration for him and his values”.
“We always work hard to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages, but beyond that our team works to create a great work environment,” said Manuel. From television-style gameshows, other special events, and dress-up days; staff across GMSD are inventive in how they create a fun and innovative atmosphere.
