Antonio Scott and Julia Hostetter will be the TSBA SCOPE (Student Congress on Policies in Education) representatives from HHS. Antonio has been elected next year's President and will speak at the TSBA convention.
 
 
The STEM class shows off their Vex Robot at Houston High's Open House for upcoming 8th graders.
 
 
 
March 11th
Major Glenn, Riverdale’s Geography Bee winner, has been notified by the National Geographic Society that he is one of the semifinalists eligible to compete in the 2015 Tennessee National Geographic State Bee, sponsored by Google and Plum Creek. The contest will be held in Nashville on Friday, March 27, 2015. Congratulations Major!
  
 

Update on Dogwood's Jump Rope for Heart - Dogwood Students raised $27,525.38. Way to Go Dolphins! 

Riverdale Kids Care Club collected items for the Germantown Animal Shelter. Pictured here with our members is “Cupcake”. She is a 4-month-old terrier mix and is ready to be adopted! 
 
 
 
March 12th
2015 Visual Art Winner - Congratulations to Landon Pointer of Houston High School. He placed 1st in the Drawing division of this year's NAACP's ACT-SO Competition.
 
-All 1st Place Gold Winners will move on to the national level of competition in Philadelphia this summer!

Ms. Wingo's 2nd grade class collected 1688 cans (that's 80 cans/child) and are the GRAND PRIZE WINNERS allowing them to Duct Tape the Principal!

Kelsey Stevenson -- Houston High School
Social Sciences & History
Kelsey, a senior, has a thirst for knowledge with a particularly strong interest in social studies. She holds a 4.66 weighted grade point average and scored 34 on the ACT. She is currently ranked first in a competitive class of 422 seniors. She has been named an AP Scholar with Distinction, while taking 14 AP courses. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, the National Spanish Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and National History Honor Society.
