2015-2016 Houston High School’s Link Crew Leaders - Over 130 rising juniors and seniors were selected to be a part of a new transitional/mentorship program called Link Crew at Houston High School next year. These students were chosen because they were identified as a person on campus who is a positive role model, responsible, possesses leadership qualities, is kind and, most importantly, has a desire to give back to his/her school community. Link Crew provides a structure that guides freshmen toward both academic and social success. Link Crew helps create a safe and supportive school environment where freshmen can learn that people at school care about them and their future. This program removes the culture of negativity, hazing, and bullying towards freshmen and replaces it with structural support and purposeful connections that make a measurable difference in their success and at school.
