GEF Grants at the GameAt halftime of the first HHS home game, the Germantown Education Foundation awarded $40,000 in grants to individual teachers, schools, and programs. Click here for a full listing of the grants awarded.
Calendar Committee Seeking Public Feedback AND Parent ApplicantsThe Germantown Municipal School District needs your feedback in the design of the District Calendar for the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 school years. We did it! Germantown Municipal School District is seeking national accreditation. We reached the optimal number of surveys from each group and are now using the data alongside their team to craft positive change in our schools.
Germantown Launchs Battle of the Books Statewide
Battle of the Books, a regular fixture in our GMSD libraries, is about to undergo an expansion. Click here to read about how an impressive show of teamwork between the City and school district solved a problem and helped several non-GMSD children in the process!
The City hosts its annual Small Fry Triathlon
All of Germantown’s tiniest citizens are invited to participate in the Small Fry Triathlon. Hosted by Germantown Parks and Recreation Department, children aged 2 to 6 years run, bike and swim (run through fire truck spray) to the finish line, where everyone receives a medal. Generously sponsored by Campbell Clinic, the event costs $7 and takes place on Saturday, September 17th at the Farmington Park, 2029 Cordes Road. Click here to visit the official Facebook event page.
