GMSD to announce Back to School Plans on July 15

Germantown, Tennessee--July 8, 2020--After hearing feedback from parents via email, phone calls, and our survey data GMSD has spent several hours working in task force meetings with over 100 staff members to form a plan.  The plan for opening schools on August 6th will be officially released on July 15. Task Force School Level Committees complete first of multiple building walks

June 19, 2020--How many students can safely fit in a classroom?  Following SCHD guidelines, students must maintain a six-foot distance between one another.  This week, approximately 60 teachers worked in small groups to cover each school facility in GMSD. More +

TN Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) Program for Families

June 15, 2020--The Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) and the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) announced Tennessee families are now eligible to receive financial support for their children’s nutritional needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
