In 2020, Germantown Municipal School District began an inclusive process to shape our vision for the future, resulting in a Strategic Plan that reflects the shared aspirations of our community.

This plan directs resources, improves student outcomes, and keeps us accountable. Together, we’ve expanded innovative programs, increased student engagement, and strengthened connections with families and partners. Goal One

Goal 1: Engaging, Challenging, and Innovative Academics

GMSD provides a standards-based curriculum designed to meet all students’ needs. With innovative instruction, data-driven decisions, and differentiated support, the district ensures equitable academic success. Curriculum alignment, teacher development, and authentic learning experiences prepare students for future challenges.

Objective 1.1: Develop and effectively implement an aligned, standards-based curriculum, meeting the needs of all students	Evaluate district-purchased programs for usage and increased student outcomes. Increased student engagement. Conduct fidelity checks for PLC work. Focus on student outcomes through vertical standards alignment.
Objective 1.2: Ensure equitable outcomes for all students and work to narrow the achievement gap as seen in student subgroup data	Students’ grades reflect mastery of content. Teachers utilize quality assessments over quantity. Fidelity checks provide evidence of standards/skills benchmark assessments. Increase in specialized tutoring.
Objective 1.3: Provide equal, high-quality, innovative, and authentic instructional experiences through differentiation and supportive services for all learners	Data-driven interventions for RTI2. Implementation of accelerated pacing guides. Professional development tailored to administrators, teachers, and assistants.

Goal 2: Student Readiness

GMSD supports students’ physical, emotional, and social well-being through safe, inclusive environments and wellness programs. Emphasizing engagement beyond the classroom, initiatives include mental health support, positive behavior systems, and extracurricular opportunities to ensure students thrive holistically.
