Congratulations to the Class of 2022The lead story this week is that the Class of 2022 has graduated! Congratulations to GMSD’s newest alumni–who collectively earned over $39 million dollars in scholarships. A special congratulations also goes out to our seven GOAL graduates, the first students to graduate from our fully virtual school. Here are a few fun facts about the Class of 2020:
More than any class they have intentionally found ways to build community among their cohort--from developing a virtual peer tutoring program last year to the newly added senior sunrise and sunset--they have looked for ways to support each other and soak up senior year together. We will remember how they encouraged one another. Students like Jacob Ward who attended nearly EVERY school event or both Anjali Chheda and Priyanka Phaniraj who spent their after school free time tutoring and checking in on virtual students. We will also never forget Sydney Dacus working hard to make sure that anyone who needed a prom date found one. This class learned that being together was not to be taken for granted. Good luck out there, Mustangs Class of 2022! In Case You Missed It...Thank you to all of the families that attended our final parent engagement workshop with Allison Edwards on Thursday night.
