Who needs to apply for Open Enrollment?
- Rising Kindergarteners
- Rising Sixth Graders (excluding Riverdale students)
- Rising Ninth Graders
- Students NEW to GMSD
What documents are needed for Open Enrollment? You will not upload documents for Open Enrollment.
If I am currently enrolled, do I need to complete Open Enrollment? If you are currently on a transfer and did not change your address this school year, you do not need to complete Open Enrollment, unless you are in an exit year at your school.
If I am a resident and would like to request a different GMSD school, what do I do? You will need to complete Open Enrollment to request the change from your zoned school.
Is Open Enrollment the same as registration for the 2023-2024 school year? No, Open Enrollment is a transfer request and registration is enrollment for the school year. More information regarding registration dates will be coming soon.
Will I be able to see the Open Enrollment application prior to January 23rd? No, you will not be able to see the application until it goes live on the GMSD website at 10:00 am on January 23, 2023.
When should I expect a response to the application? All applications will be processed and approvals/denials will be mailed by March 10, 2023.
