Legislative Advocacy
Legislative Advocacy
One of the Germantown Board of Education's most important roles is legislative advocacy at the the state level. Each year, the Board prepares a Legislative Agenda, which is a formal statement of its legislative priorities for our state and federal legislatures. Because The Legislative Agenda is the District's official position, the Board must take action to approve the Agenda.
Germantown Board of Education Resolutions
What is a Board Resolution?
A board resolution is a formal document that solidifies in writing important decisions that your elected school board approves through a formalized voting process. Boards usually write up resolutions as a part of their legislative advocacy plan. Boards may also collaborate with one another on resolutions they support. GMSD families can view these resolutions as they make decisions about or engage in conversations with their state representatives.
