Student Communications Positions

Student Positions Available

Germantown Municipal School District strives to offer unique and engaging opportunities to our students. Through the communications department, students have the chance to become district ambassadors, participate in our internship program, or lead as the student board representative.

The application for these positions for the upcoming 25-26 school year will become LIVE in April of 2025. For any questions, please contact Emily Hume.

Meet our Communications Student Interns

Kelly White

Kelly, a social media influencer in the making, brings leadership experience from SGA (Senior Vice President), Beta Club, and HHS Theatre, paired with a talent for creating engaging Reels and TikToks. Returning for her second year as an intern, she's excited to join the marketing team for the new ACT tutoring initiative while navigating the college application process.

Terrance Wright, Jr.

Terrance, this year’s junior intern, stands out as a proactive leader, now serving as the newly elected incoming Senior President of SGA, where he helps shape school events and communications. With experience as a counselor at Camp Conquest and the Memphis Jewish Community Center, he brings leadership, creativity, digital management, and public speaking skills to every team.

 

Bridget Flaherty

Bridget, a talented filmmaker whose 1980s-inspired ‘Top That’ impressed the panel, is active in the Honors Academy, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Houston Hearts Club. With experience as seasonal office staff and a cat sitter, she also volunteers as a VBS counselor and GMSD Ambassador and has earned National Spanish Exam medals and CPR certification.


 

Ansh Khiraya

Ansh, a driven student leader, is the founder and president of the South Asian Student Association and an active member of the Honors Academy, Key Club, DECA, and Debate Club, all while mentoring underclassmen and volunteering as a GMSD Student Ambassador his junior year.


 

Charlotte Freeman

Charlotte, with a natural eye for photography, balances volunteer work as a volleyball scorekeeper, assistant coach, and St. Jude Marathon helper while excelling in the Community Service and Environmental Clubs, journalism, yearbook, National Honors Society, and Beta Club—all as the daughter of two GMSD staff members!

Addie Smith

Addie, a talented graphic designer and visual artist, is an officer in the National Art Honor Society and Cartoonist Club. Addie has participated in SCAD summer seminars and the CAM Experience. Her volunteer work at the Brooks Museum and Madonna Learning Center, along with multiple Mid-South Scholastic Art and Writing awards, showcase her unstoppable creativity.
