The Germantown Municipal School District Student Services Department is responsible for the management of student affairs including, but not limited to, attendance, discipline, health-related services, counseling and social emotional needs, student enrollment, and school and student safety.

We strive to support students, parents, and school administration while promoting a safe and structured environment all the while following the guidelines of district policy.

As the Coordinated School Health Supervisor and Physical Education Supervisor for GMSD, Mr. Martin leads the healthy initiatives implemented throughout the district to ensure our students are adequately prepared to become life-long lovers of physical activity, health, wellness, and care for their social-emotional well-being.

School Safety Liaison


Jimmy Lewis oversees GMSD's School Safety protocols, and he works directly with our SROs. Jimmy brings 27 years of experience with the Memphis Police Department, where he worked everything from midnight patrol to FBI task forces. After retiring from law enforcement, Jimmy continued his commitment to student safety by serving as Director of Safety and Security at Fayette Academy. Jimmy is looking forward to building strong relationships with students and bringing both his expertise and passion to the job.
