Register For Your School
Every student, every year, must complete the registration process to attend Germantown Municipal School District. The information on these pages is for families zoned to GMSD schools (City of Germantown residents) and those who have applied and been accepted into our district.
- Registration for the current 2024-2025 school year is OPEN
- Registration for the 2025-2026 school year will open in late Spring 2025
Those seeking a transfer into our district must visit our Open Enrollment Page before attempting to register.
1. Determine Eligibility
2. Complete Online Registration
Complete the required fields then click on “Click Here to Submit Online Enrollment Account Request”. An email will then generate to the address provided with a login and password along with a link for the parent/guardian to access the application portal.
You'll be prompted to schedule an appointment during Step 6 in the online application to bring NEW STUDENT documents to the school.
Existing parents use Skyward to register their child(ren) for the upcoming school year, including any children new to the District, including Kindergarteners. You will need your parent username and password to sign in to your Skyward account. Forgotten passwords or locked accounts can email Amy Bagwell for assistance.
You'll be prompted to schedule an appointment during Step 6 in the online application to bring NEW STUDENT documents to the school.

Preschool Program
GMSD offers a specialized preschool program for students with disabilities ages 3–5, which includes opportunities for positive peer models to join the classroom. However, preschool enrollment is managed by our Department of Exceptional Student Education and is not part of the traditional registration process.
