Our technology support team spans multiple departments, all working toward a common goal: keeping technology running smoothly and supporting educational success. At the district level, they handle management of district-wide initiatives like our Student Information System, Learning Management Systems, online payment systems, cybersecurity, and a wide range of digital programs and platforms. Their expertise keeps our systems running smoothly, ensuring students, teachers, and families can rely on the technology that powers learning and operations across GMSD.

Understanding the Roles of Your School Support Team

Each school has its own dedicated team, including a School Technology Support Specialist (STS) and an Instructional Technology Coordinator (ITC), who work closely together to meet the needs of students and staff.  The STS focuses on traditional IT tasks, such as fixing student and staff devices and addressing hardware and software issues, while the ITC helps integrate technology into the classroom by assisting with educational platforms and digital tools. Knowing who to ask for what is key to getting the most out of our technology resources, and our teams are here to ensure every request is handled efficiently. Together, they support day-to-day operations and contribute to the bigger picture of technology excellence across GMSD.

Meet Our District-Level Technology Team

Our district technology team provides essential support to school-level teams, who troubleshoot and manage day-to-day technology needs of students and families. At the district level, they handle management of district-wide initiatives like Skyward, Schoology, online payment systems, cybersecurity, and a wide range of digital programs and platforms. Their expertise keeps our systems running smoothly, ensuring students, teachers, and families can rely on the technology that powers learning and operations across GMSD.

Blended Learning Supervisor

  • Lead district-wide instructional technology initiatives and the instructional technology team.
  • Oversee the implementation and integration of digital programs, learning management systems (LMS), and educational technology tools.
  • Lead the strategic rollout of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and initiatives to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Provide ongoing professional development, training, and support for educators on effectively utilizing instructional technology in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with educators and administrators to refine and implement blended learning strategies that increase student engagement and achievement.
  • Ensure compliance with state requirements for K-12 computer science education, including the integration of digital citizenship curriculum across grade levels
