GMSD Launches First-Ever Real Estate Agent Academy

When families consider a move to Germantown, one of their biggest questions is often, “Tell me about the schools.”

This fall, Germantown Municipal School District is launching a new program to help local real estate professionals answer that question with accurate information, firsthand knowledge and trusted district resources.

The one-day, behind-the-scenes experience will take participants inside GMSD schools to see classrooms in action, meet district and school leaders and learn what makes each school unique. Real estate professionals will explore academics, athletics, fine arts, extracurricular opportunities and other programs families frequently ask about.

The academy will also provide practical information about GMSD school zones, residency requirements and the enrollment process, along with an overview of the district’s enrollment policies and options. Participants will learn where to find the most current information so they can connect families directly with official GMSD resources.

“Real Estate Agents are often some of the first people prospective families ask about our schools,” said Kate Crowder, GMSD communications supervisor. “We want to equip them with accurate information and reliable resources, but we also want them to experience our schools firsthand.”

Graduates will also be eligible for inclusion in the new GMSD Real Estate Agent Directory, a listing of local real estate professionals who have completed the academy.

Throughout the academy, participants will also learn best practices for sharing factual school information, locating school assignments and directing families to GMSD for current enrollment requirements and opportunities.

And because it is an academy worth spending the day at, breakfast and lunch are on us.

Space in the inaugural class will be limited.

Registration is now open for real estate professionals who actively serve Germantown and the surrounding area.
