Mustangs Spring Sports Teams Kick Off Season with Dominant Wins

March 2025— The Mustangs are charging into spring with a series of commanding victories across multiple sports. As teams take the field, court, and pitch, Germantown Municipal School District (GMSD) athletes are proving they are a force to be reckoned with this season.

Baseball
Varsity baseball made a statement in their home opener, defeating Christian Brothers High School (CBHS) 12-1 in front of an enthusiastic crowd. The Mustangs followed up with a dominant 15-1 win over Brighton. This week, they hit the road for four away games as they look to continue their winning streak.

Softball
Varsity softball is also off to a strong start, securing a decisive win over Cordova and another victory against Briarcrest. The team will be at home this week, facing Cordova again on Tuesday at 6 p.m. and Ripley on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to come out and cheer on the Mustangs.

Boys Soccer
Varsity boys soccer has kicked off their season with an impressive start, defeating Evangelical Christian School (ECS), Crockett County, and CBHS. The team is showing great promise as they build momentum for the season ahead.

Boys Lacrosse
Varsity boys lacrosse celebrated a major win over Hoover and will take on Bartlett this Thursday at 7 p.m. in an away matchup.

For several spring sports, competition will resume following the upcoming spring break. As the season progresses, the Mustangs continue to embody excellence, determination, and teamwork.
