Farmington puts new protocol into place to help new Falcons soar

The first annual New Farmington Families Orientation took place last week. Students new to the school (next year) were invited to come into the school, take a tour, chat with administrators and teachers, and gather parent friendly FAQs from the PTA.

Joy Williams, the event’s planner and the PTA President delivered some good information about what students wear in a “behind the scenes” presentation.

Veteran Farmington parents led tours throughout the building.

The PTA plans to pair up each new family with a mentor—someone they can call to ask any last minute or pressing questions or to simply help them feel plugged in. “The hope,” says Williams, “is that our new families will feel welcomed and supported when they make the transition into our school”.
