Future150 features Riverdale Student

Harrison Kelly, while only an 8th grade student at Riverdale School, is considered one of the “top 80 basketball players” for his age group by a summer camp franchise which helps athletes build marketing packages to share with college scouts. Future150(Jr), hosts summer camps that any student may attend, but they also cull down campers to develop a set of “Top 24 Elite” players per region. Along with the chance to play other regional elite players or in some cases against one another, the elite distinction also earns young athletes a profile on the Future 150 website.

While at the Atlanta based summer camp, the elite group was made of players who hailed from 20 different states. “We were so proud that Harrison was picked as one of the Elite 24 All-Stars and got to participate in their prestigious All-Star game,” reports his father Gordon Kelly.

According to his Future150 profile, Kelly is considered an extremely skilled wing prospect. At 5'11", Kelly was also one of the best jumpers at the camp. “He's nearly automatic when shooting from the perimeter, but that's not his only option on offense. He is capable of getting to the rim or creating for others as a lead guard as well when necessary,” states the website.

Kelly enjoys his time at Riverdale—where his favorite classes are science and social studies. At home, he enjoys watching the History Channel and playing with the Arkansas Wings Elite team. He has played basketball competitively for eight years and as far as he and his family are concerned, the sky’s the limit!
