GMSD's CRASH My Classroom Contest has begun!

 Two or more lucky teachers are about to win the classroom of their dreams

On January 11th, GMSD instructional staff was informed about the upcoming GMSD Crash My Classroom Contest. The Director of Academic Achievement and the Communications and Instructional Technology Coordinator are partnering talents, time, and budgetary funds to give some teachers the classroom makeover of a lifetime. Cutting edge technology, 21st century furniture, unusual learning spaces--the sky is the limit. Download the PDF version of these directions here. The deadline to apply for the contest is February 19th.

We will be awarding 2 or more classrooms with a 21st Century Classroom Makeover. If you have creative ideas but feel like your traditionally styled classroom is holding you back, here is your chance to make a BIG change. All you have to do is show us your vision.

Submit the following to [email protected] by February 19th:

1. A sketch of what your classroom would look like. Include furniture, learning areas, collaboration options, presentation options, technology, color schemes (including walls), etc.
2. 300 to 500 words in essay format describing how this will enhance instruction in your classroom. In your essay, include:
-How will it change your teaching?
-How will it change student learning?
-At least one standard that will be affected by your dream classroom.
