Spring Registration Information for Returning and New Students
GMSD has adopted a new, improved online registration system that should provide ease and convenience for our families. ALL students, whether currently enrolled or new, will need to register this spring. Please see below for specific dates and information. *ALL current or transfer students will need to upload two current proofs of residence. *All new students will bring two current proofs of residence on the appropriate day listed below.
Students Currently Enrolled, April 18th – April 29th, Student PIN numbers and online registration instructions will be issued at the school level. Please look for an email or text message that announces how/when your individual school plans to disseminate them.
Spring New Student Registration (includes rising Kindergarteners and new-to-the District transfers) Registration requires a birth certificate, social security card and immunization records in addition to two proofs of residency. Transfer students must also bring their official transfer letters. After registering online, students will bring their proofs of residence and other registration documents to the assigned school on the date listed below. Please print and bring the completed online registration form to the school. New students are not officially registered until proofs have been verified at the school.
Dogwood Elementary- April 12th, 5:00-7:00 pm
Farmington Elementary- April 12th, 5:00-7:00 pm
Riverdale Elementary- April 19th, 5:00-7:00 pm
Houston Middle- April 12th, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Houston High*- April 12th, 3:30-7:30 pm
*Scheduling information for new students will also be available. The staff at HHS prefer for new students to examine the course catalog available online before they attend registration.
Summer New Student Registration, June 13th, June 20th, July 11th, July 25th, (8:00am-12noon) Students new to our District must report to their assigned school to register in person on one of these days. Registration requires a birth certificate, social security card and immunization records in addition to two proofs of residency.
Shared Residency Appointments, July 6th-August 6th, Students registering under a shared residency status must make an appointment with the Office of Student Services. Their office begins taking phone calls to schedule appointments on June 20th.
Rising Kindergarten and 7th graders, Must submit current immunization records in addition to their two proofs of residency. Currently enrolled sixth graders with summer birthdays will be able to register without uploading their immunization records, but will be required to submit them in person before a class schedule can be issued.
