May 2023 – GMSD’s Transition to Work program out of Houston High School’s Transition Academy has been featured in the TransitionTN newsletter, published by Vanderbilt University. The publication highlighted how the various job sites around the Germantown community allows students to gain skills and experiences in different workplace settings, which then provides them with the necessary credentials to succeed in postsecondary settings.
They went on to highlight some of our partnerships with local businesses and organizations like the Germantown Athletic Club, Dogtopia, Beautiful Soul Boutique, Cordova Bowling, and more. Congratulations to all of our students and team members of the Transition Academy on this recognition.
