Congratulations to the all the GMSD cheerleading teams that competed in the 2021 TSSAA State Cheer Competition

 

 

The 2021 TSSAA State Cheer Competition was held on Saturday, November 6^th at the Murphy Center on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University. Houston High, Houston Middle, and Riverdale’s cheer teams represented their schools at this competition and successfully placed in multiple events. The results are shown below:

Riverdale: Middle School Non-Tumbling Division: 2^nd place

Houston Middle: Large Middle School - West Division: 1^st place

Houston High Silver: Junior Varsity Non-Tumbling Division: 1^st place

Houston High Red: Junior Varsity Division: 1^st place

Houston High Varsity: Super Varsity Division: 1^st place

 

Looking forward, all teams achieved a bid to the National High School Cheerleading Competition held in Orlando, Florida in February.
