As the new principal of Houston High School, Mrs. Ross will bring a dynamic and visionary leadership approach. “Her excellent communication skills and deep understanding of secondary instructional practices make her an ideal fit for this role,” said Superintendent Jason Manuel. “With her natural leadership abilities and a proven track record of driving academic excellence, Mrs. Ross is the perfect candidate to lead Houston High School towards its next chapter.”

HI, I am Hallie Ross and I am extremely excited to be serving as the next principal of Houston High School. I am a graduate of Houston High School and some of you may know me because my dad also served in this role. It's truly like I grew up in this office for the past few years I've been serving as an administrator at Collierville High School just down the road. At CHS, I have been a teacher, I have been a Student Activities Coordinator, and an assistant principal. Currently, I am the scheduler and I work as the lead over curriculum and instruction. I also supervise the counseling department and work with our at-risk student population. As well, I work with the communication from the school to all of the stakeholders in the community. I love high school and I love working with high schoolers! Houston High School has a rich legacy of excellence  and I am excited to dig in with the incredible teachers we have here and learn more about their instructional practices. My largest priority is academic programming-- it is extremely important that every student has access to rigorous curriculum that challenges them and allows them opportunities to grow. What I can tell you is that you're going to see me. I'm going to be at events and I'm going to be out and about and I'm going to be supporting all the Houston Mustangs. Parents, I want you in this building. The partnership between parents and the school is invaluable and one of the deciding factors for this job and returning to Houston High School was opportunity to get to work with such a vibrant and active parent Community. I am officially counting down the days until the first day of school. Houston, I'm coming home!
