Student Readiness

Student Readiness is defined as the integration and collaboration between education leaders and health sectors to improve each child’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.

In Germantown Municipal School District student wellbeing is a top priority.  We believe a Student Readiness Approach is an effort to transition from a focus on narrowly defined academic achievement to one that promotes the long-term development and success of all children. To develop the Ready Student the following areas must be addressed; Health, Safety, Engagement, and Student Support.  Germantown Municipal School District recognizes that student health is foundational to a well-rounded education.  Our school culture will promote the practice of a healthy lifestyle.  We are also focused on placing true value on student voice.  Collaboration with the students and the surrounding community will help to integrate health and well-being into our schools.
